We will be spreading Angel's ashes on Sunday, January 9th 2011 at 10:30 am. We will be doing it by boat on the Port Charlotte side of the Northbound 41 bridge. We will be between the northbound bridge and the powerlines near the Port Charlotte Shore. This way people can watch from shore and from atop the bridge. We would like to ask everyone that is available to please join us celebrate Captain Angel's life.

Welcome to Vicious Strikes, the premier charter service in Southwest Florida. Down here you will find many different species of fish to target while out on the water. Snook, Redfish, Trout, Tarpon, Shark, Snapper, and Cobia are some of our popular fish. We provide full service trips after these game fish. We are quickly approaching the beginning of the 2010 TARPON FISHING SEASON . Tarpon are one of the most sought after fish here in Southwest Florida. They grow to 7 or more feet in length and may weigh over 200 lbs. Their size, the ability to breathe oxygen from both water and air, along with their magnificent jumps make them a great challenge to fight on light tackle.

The places we target the "Silver King" are Boca Grande Pass. Boca Grande, Florida is known as the Tarpon Capitol of the World. We also target these fish within Charlotte Harbor, along the beaches of the Gulf of Mexico, up the Peace River,  Myakka River, and the Intercoastal Waterway from Venice, Florida to Fort Myers, Florida.

People come from all over the world to fish for tarpon with us. We fish both day and night trips for tarpon. May through August are our prime tarpon months. What you are about to see are a few of the species that you can target with Vicious Strikes. Capt. Angel Torres is a full services captain. He enjoys helping others enjoy the sport of fishing. Women and children are always welcome aboard his boat. They usually out-fish the men, so watch out guys!

Snook, redfish, and trout are our prime shallow-water fish. They are found in many different environments, from around docks, bridges, and other solid structure, grass flats, brackish water, to ocean beaches. All three are excellent table fare if you're interested in catching dinner. They are caught on a wide variety of live and artificial bait and can be caught year round here in Charlotte County.

We also specialize in big game fish like tarpon, shark and Goliath Grouper. These are all fish that can easily become a fish of a lifetime. Tarpon can get up to 200 lbs, Goliath Grouper upwards of 800 lbs, and the world record hammerhead shark was caught right here in Boca Grande Pass. Bring your strength if you plan on going big game fishing because some of these guys will wear you out.

If the weather is nice we can also do near shore fishing for grouper, kingfish, barracuda, bonita, cobia, tripletail, snapper and amberjack. If the near shore bite is on you'll have a busy day ahead of you. Just be advised that our near shore trips are very dependant on good weather and low wind speeds. But don't worry if we can't get you out in the blue water, we are still capable of providing a great backwater experience instead.
